Language to Learning, Inc. is a Non-Public Agency (NPA) that provides on-site and virtual speech therapy and special education services. As a certified non-public agency (NPA), Language to Learning, Inc. offers a seamless process for public school districts to initiate services and contract with us immediately. This certification signifies that we meet rigorous standards in our programs and staff. The state has meticulously reviewed all aspects of our programs, along with our staff’s credentials, licenses, and qualifications. Our practice has been thoroughly assessed for safety, insurance coverage, and compliance with all California employment regulations.

Following California state requirements, public school districts must ensure that all private and public agencies are approved and certified by the state for the services they provide. This ensures that special education students receive a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE). When a student’s needs cannot be met within their district, the district can contract with an approved Non-Public Agency (NPA) for specialized education and related services.

At Language to Learning, Inc., we are committed to collaborating with public school districts to conduct Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE) and develop tailored services outlined in each student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP). We aim to provide comprehensive support and facilitate the academic success and personal growth of every student we serve.

  • Screenings: Screenings are a great tool to determine if a child warrants a full evaluation for occupational therapy, special education, or speech-language therapy. We use a variety of measures to screen students.
  • Evaluations: We conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine a child's strengths and weaknesses using formal assessment, behavioral observations, dynamic assessments, and teacher and parental reports.
  • Services Offered: Individualized Education Plan (IEP) case management, Occupational therapy (OT), Speech therapy (ST), Specialized Academic Instruction (SAI), IEP review, creation, and implementation.
  • Attend IEP meetings: Language to Learning's therapists will attend your student's IEP meeting to advocate for their individualized needs.

1. Where does Language to Learning provide speech services?

We provide speech and language services to students in the greater Los Angeles area. Services can be provided on-site at schools and virtually (telepractice). 

2. Do you partner with public schools or charter schools?

Language to Leaning is a non-public agency certified through the California Department of Education. Language to Learning partners with local education agencies through California. We provide virtual and in-person speech services by qualified speech and language therapists. 

3. How does Telepractice work?

The therapist and the student participate in a two-way video conference on a HIPPA and FERPA compliant video platform. The platform includes screen-sharing, remote mouse, and drawing capabilities. The therapist and the client each have their own digital technology, either a tablet or computer that they use to interact in order to share audio, video, data, and images. Therapy is conducted in real-time. Telepractice is flexible and can be done with a wonderful Language to Learning therapists from wherever the student is.
